The Avinashi Road Elevated Corridor (opened October 2025, the state's longest flyover at about 10 km) bypasses the most congested stretch and sharply cuts time between the centre, Peelamedu, the airport and the IT side.
Autos everywhere (agree the fare or use the meter), plus Ola, Uber and Rapido bike-taxis; many residents simply keep a two-wheeler or car.
Coimbatore International (CJB) is in Peelamedu, on your side of town, about 7 km and 10 to 15 minutes from Kalapatti; being this close to the airport is a real perk of the location.

A few central low points, around the Avinashi Road flyover, Lanka Corner and Race Course, can hold water in heavy rain. On the IT corridor this is rarely an issue, but ask.
